I know you have been waiting my pickleball friends & yogis…Spain is stepping it up and I’ve experienced some of the best pickleball matches and intense yoga classes in the past few weeks… Andale Pues!

I must say that the Spanish embody all that Pickleball is supposed to be; competitive, friendly, welcoming. I made all kinds of new friends and was asked to play at other tournaments in Europe (alas couldn’t). There is something about this sport that is so incredible and so needed in our world these days.
So amazing was that my women’s partner (also a “blind date”) is from Singapore and knows one of my home club (Palo Alto Mitchell Park) players “Let’s Go” Justin Woo!
The Madrid Open was not without it’s challenges (technically), but so amazing to meet players from all over the world and I must thank my LG6 for getting me started and my Golden Ticket partner for the inspiration (and letting me know about this tournament)!

Yoga….Fuego!

Anyone that knows me, knows I am slightly obsessed with Yoga. This journey in healing began nearly 20 years ago when I started practicing with Yoga Source in Los Gatos https://www.instagram.com/oneyogasource/ That would be back in the day when we were upstairs in a studio across from Hannigans and everyone signed in by hand and the instructors put wet towels over the thermostat to keep the room hot.
Well so much has changed, but like pickleball, you can find yoga all over the world and although my favorite studio in Madrid closed after Covid; another opened that is quite remarkable! https://www.barquillohotyoga.com/

Not only a beautiful studio, with some of the most talented teachers I have met; no better way to improve your practice and Spanish…the classrooms and the instructors are hot, hot, hot!
What’s your favorite sport, way of keeping fit, staying sane?
