Here are some of my food experience and restaurant recommendations for Salamanca-
***i’ve been an embarrassment at times, let’s just say most of the time, to my children for my foodie obsessions…taking phots at extremely inappropriate times (please don’t ask my son (Balthazar)), asking ridiculous questions of staff and if all goes well, the chef, and then offering a decade’s worth of unsolicited advice as to what to order-just writing this is therapy-but the dining & photos ahead-so worth it.

Tough to beat this amazing ceviche…next level at this fabulous little restaurant with views and incredible tableware, service and comida.

Dodging jet lag, trying to stay with the Spaniards (pinxto de tortilla & cafe a las 9 or 10, almuerzo a las 1300-1600, cena o tapas a las 2100-2300 horas) isn’t easy! Some cafes/tabernas y restaurants are open to accommodate travelers-at times I’m the 1st or last to dine!
Another restaurant that has a 5 star review is Taberna de Libreros. Absolutely a waste of all of our time for me to describe. (enjoy below) Alberto is one of the most incredible chefs and hosts in all of Spain. I ate there twice in 4 days! Go there today if possible. https://tabernadelibreros.com/
As aforementioned, (what a great word to use and write?), I’m having issues with captions for my slide shows.

Stopped here for post match dining. The scallops were delicious and simple.
A lot of incredible options in addition to hundreds of self owned tabernas with the best tapas…. don’t get me started! The windows of Salamanca are filled with incredible displays-sweets, meats, jamon y queso. Stop in any cafe or taberna and there is most likely a case on the counter filled with tapas or tortillas. It is very difficult to pass up any of them or decide where to dine?
