A remarkable burrata, not your everyday… even better filled with a sun dried tomato pesto and served with crackers that were paper thin, crisp, salted, yet could stand the weight of the burrata and accompanying fresh and sun dried tomatoes. View of the Alhambra gratis.

Breakfast is important in Granada. The typical breakfast is not cafe con un pinxto (tortilla), but cafe con una tostada. Toast with tomate, tomate & avocate, tomate y queso y hamon o con anchoas. It will last you until mid day easily!
Every step I take when traveling is either in searching for something yummy to eat or drink (“gastro”), working out so I can balance the calories or pretending interest in visiting a museum, park, catedral on the way to something to eat!
Big on Papas (potatoes) in Spain. I’m Irish, so its just about perfect! The potato salad above was just a tapa, but not just. Unbelievable. Followed by Tartar de PRESA IBÉRICA DE BELLOTA, huevo frito y patatas crunch-which I took most of home & had for breakfast (p1.p2.)

An unbelievable Ajoblanco de mango con esturión ecológico de Riofrío ahumado y uvas, followed by the Atún rojo de almadraba con tomate macerado al horno, salsa de mostaza y fruta de la pasión. This one of the best restaurants in the Albaicin, some of the best service and views/gardens I have visited. (p3.p4.)
Calle de Navas in Granada is similar to Cava Baja in Madrid; just slightly off the main drag & tons of tapas/tabernas and a little touristica. I stopped there after a very tiresome afternoon of shopping at the El Fogon de Galicia. The website is not working (always a good thing for foodies), a tapa with each glass and when I asked my waiter about the boquerones ( mi favorita), he brought a plate as a tapa. The gambas (grilled) were perfect.
